I think we can all agree that the chocolate chip cookie will always appeal as a scrumptious dessert. It’s been modified to extremes, but sometimes going back to basics can be just the thing to make you appreciate what you’ve always loved and what has been right all along…
…Then sometimes you decide that the unfinished product (cookie dough) is just as good as the end result. And sometimes combining the two is exactly what the doctor ordered! Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cookie Sandwiches – the new classic. Because who can resist a little raw dough?! This version is eggless, so there’s no need to limit yourself (maybe that’s more dangerous though)!
So. Good. And, the dough can also be used as a dip (think animal crackers and graham crackers for pairings).
One of my absolute favorite holidays is just around the corner! While I won’t be in New England to celebrate the 4th (I’ll be back home – DC seems like an appropriate place to celebrate America!), I love a good nautical look.
Here’s my take on that amazing look:
Anybody out there a big camper? I like to think I am, but in reality, sometimes laying on the hard ground where you can’t seem to find the perfect level of covers all while being attacked by bugs doesn’t always appeal to me. This image epitomizes my happy medium when it comes to camping. This looks almost more comfortable than my own bed! I’d love to be doing this over the weekend, anyone else?!
The jean jacket is the ultimate classic piece. I remember saving my money to buy one when I was in middle school and being so thrilled with myself when I finally bought it. Want to know something funny? I still fit in it. Talk about an investment piece! And thank goodness the jean jacket is making a big comeback this season, I will be making my 13-year-old self so proud! Loving the following looks on these gorgeous ladies:
It’s hard to believe I’ve been in my current apartment (and job) for almost a year now. Time is absolutely flying these days. I am going to be moving to a new apartment in August and we all know what that means: planning, decorating and organizing! Once I am able to get over the stress of the actual logistics and hauling of large objects, I will be in full homemaker mode. There’s a back porch that I’m dying to get my hands on – so much potential! Here are a few spaces I’m feeling especially inspired by for the big move:
Scarves in the summer are tricky – they’re certainly not needed for their cozy warm factor. But as a fashion statement? Certainly! They are such a fun and easy way to accessorize and brighten up an outfit, plus, they come in handy on a breezy summer night or out to dinner at a chilly restaurant. Pair with other simple patterns and colors and I say bring on the year-round scarves!
There’s nothing like taking a road trip during the summer. It’s hard to believe that just one year ago, my two best friends and I were driving from DC to LA on the best adventure of my life. While we kept a blog, took tons of pictures and even tweeted along the way, I would have loved the idea of a scratch-off map to track our journey in an “old school, keepsake kind of way. Get yours here for your summer travels and don’t forget to write!
